Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Facility Manager in Goodyear, AZ to supervise facilities maintenance teams and oversee daily operations for commercial buildings. You will ensure uptime, safety, and efficiency of HVAC, power, and building systems while coordinating external contractors and capital projects.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent). Strong leadership, budgeting, and vendor management skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Equivalent experience in commercial facility operations will be considered.
• Valid driver's license required - MVR will be conducted.
• Facility Management or standard building engineering certification preferred.
• Experience in staffing, training, and retaining technical facilities personnel.
• Leadership skills to motivate teams toward zero-downtime operational goals.
• Deep knowledge of large-scale backup power systems, commercial chillers, and building automation systems preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to facilities maintenance employees.
• Monitor technical training and professional development programs.
• Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
• Oversee recruiting for skilled commercial facilities technicians.
• Schedule and manage shift activities.
• Establish work schedules and cross-training plans.
• Set and track department and SLA deadlines.
• Mentor onsite maintenance staff as needed.
• Coordinate building systems maintenance with external contractors.
• Maintain client relationships regarding facility uptime and incidents.
• Manage capital projects, budgets, and variance reports.
• Perform facility inspections following safety standards.
• Suggest operational efficiencies to reduce energy usage.
• Oversee environmental health, safety, and emergency procedures.
• Review contractor quotes for maintenance work.
• Lead training on maintenance workflows and safety.
