Job summary

Syngene International is seeking a Manager of Facilities in Baltimore to lead the Facility Services group, ensuring day-to-day operations and regulatory compliance across maintenance, metrology, and planning functions.

The role requires a seasoned leader with biopharma experience, strong budgeting and project management skills, and a track record of safety and quality discipline within cGMP environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years in a biopharmaceutical environment with at least 7+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience with budget preparation and scheduling.
• Prior cGMP experience is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Facility Services group.
• Lead General Maintenance, Manufacturing Support, Metrology, and Facility Resource Planning.
• Ensure facilities and systems meet cGMP and regulatory standards.
• Own Quality Systems within Facilities (Deviations, CAPAs, SOP revisions, Change Control).
• Manage safety policies and departmental documentation in SAP.
• Plan goals, allocate resources, and manage budgets.
• Coordinate cross-functional shutdowns for preventive maintenance.
• Act as site lead during internal and external audits.
• Support capital projects as SME for plant equipment and systems.
• Foster staff development through coaching and training.
