Job summary

Syngene International is seeking a Director of Engineering and Maintenance to provide strategic and technical leadership across engineering, facilities, and maintenance. You will drive capital projects, continuous improvement, and technology implementation to enhance equipment reliability and site performance.

The role requires extensive cGMP knowledge, regulatory compliance, and the ability to lead high-performing teams and partners across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial) required.
• 10+ years in biopharma with engineering/facilities leadership.
• Extensive knowledge of cGMP, regulatory compliance and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Engineering and Maintenance organization.
• Oversee Facilities, Utilities, Maintenance, and Engineering functions.
• Oversee capital project planning, budgeting, scheduling and implementation.
• Ensure facilities, utilities, and equipment are maintained per industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Lead audits and maintain regulatory compliance across engineering functions.
