Job summary

Phillips Theological Seminary is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the planning, organization, and direct oversight of campus facilities, buildings, and grounds. You will coordinate new construction and renovations, ensure safety standards, budgets, and timelines, and advise leadership on major repairs and capital needs.

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance and Administration, the role requires strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems, plus supervisory

Qualifications

• Five or more years of building maintenance and operations experience.
• High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Certifications/licensing in HVAC, electrical work, or related trades preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance campus-wide.
• Coordinate major maintenance, repairs, and replacements for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Manage contractors to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Advise senior leadership on major repairs, capital replacements, and deferred maintenance needs.
• Develop and monitor annual maintenance budgets and schedules.
