Job summary

ServiceMaster Commercial Cleaning of Jackson seeks a hands-on supervisor to manage the daily cleaning operation at assigned facilities in Mississippi. You will lead staff, schedule shifts, monitor budgets and ensure customer requirements are met.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to change, with occasional after-hours or weekend work. Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, plus a company car or mileage, a cell phone, and a company computer

Qualifications

• Highly developed teamwork skills.
• Strong and effective communicator verbally and in writing.
• Ability to see the big picture and provide strategic advice.
• Ability to lead in a changing environment.
• Able to direct the efforts of a diverse staff.
• Previous janitorial experience is a plus.
• Must be able to plan, schedule, and manage multiple sites.
• Must be able to work after 5:00pm; weekends/holidays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day cleaning of assigned buildings with leadership and support.
• Schedule and monitor employee times within budgeted hours.
• Meet with building staff on a regular basis.
• Monitor timesheets to ensure scheduled attendance.
• Inspect buildings to ensure proper cleaning and maintenance.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are stocked and within budget.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is in good working order and safe to operate.
• Develop positive relationships with building contacts and meet regularly.
• Recommend additional services to improve cleanliness and appearance.
• Provide oversight of project and floor work as assigned.
• Maintain proper maintenance of the company vehicle.
