Job summary

UCFS is seeking a Manager of Facilities to oversee all building functions and ensure the safety and reliability of our facilities. This role includes leading daily operations, planning maintenance, supervising Facilities Maintenance Workers, and coordinating with contractors.

The position requires strong leadership and knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry trades, plus the ability to travel locally and respond to on-call emergencies. Full-time, 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

• High School, Technical Trade School Diploma, or Advanced Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or Construction.
• 3 years of experience working in Facilities or Construction.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Experience in a Facilities or Construction leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Develops a comprehensive facilities plan guiding infrastructure toward operational excellence and long-term viability.
• Works with VP of Business Development to establish maintenance and capital budgets.
• Engages in space planning to enhance employee satisfaction, collaboration, and performance.
• Leads day-to-day facilities operations.
• Inspects buildings’ structures and recommends upgrades and modifications.
• Schedules routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
• Operates snow removal equipment and handles winter weather operations; may work evenings, weekends, or holidays.
