Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in building maintenance or related field.
  • Knowledge of basic building maintenance practices and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Commitment to creating a fair, equitable, and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform semi-skilled tasks in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
  • Support facilities-related construction, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Replace faulty faucets, unclog toilets, and remove graffiti from exteriors.
  • Maintain light fixtures, change ballasts, and replace lamps.
  • Complete rough carpentry, cabinet repairs, and minor dry-rot fixes.
  • Install safety bars on windows and stairs, bulletin boards.
  • Interior paint repairs and preparation for major painting projects.
  • Paint markings on asphalt or concrete floors.
  • Assist teams of engineers, plumbers, painters, electricians, and staff as needed.
  • Uphold PRIDE values and campus-wide Principles of Community.
