Job summary

Claris Vision in Dartmouth, MA is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance, safety, and efficient operation of our clinics. You will ensure facilities meet health and safety standards, coordinate repairs, and manage budgets and vendors to support a productive patient-care environment.

Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance clinical duties with operational responsibilities in a fast-paced ophthalmology setting.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or operations supervision.
• Knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, workplace safety, and contractor management.
• Experience with budgeting, vendor negotiations, and maintenance planning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facilities maintenance management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and facility equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate repairs, inspections, and servicing of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and other facility systems.
• Ensure facilities remain clean, organized, functional, and well-maintained.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies.
• Coordinate external contractors, service providers, and maintenance vendors.
• Obtain and review quotations for repairs, maintenance, and facility improvement projects.
• Monitor vendor performance, service quality, and contractual obligations.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of expenses, purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
• Maintain accurate inventories of facility equipment, tools, furniture, and other assets.
• Coordinate office moves, space planning, renovations, and facility upgrades.
• Monitor the condition and lifecycle of building systems and equipment.
• Maintain facility records, maintenance logs, inspection reports, and equipment manuals.
• Coordinate responses to equipment failures, utility interruptions, leaks, and other facility emergencies.
• Establish maintenance schedules and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Provide regular reports to management regarding facility conditions, maintenance activities, and operational concerns.
