Job summary

Canopy Children's Solutions is seeking a Facilities Operations Manager in Jackson, MS, to oversee maintenance, housekeeping, safety, and regulatory compliance across all facilities. You will supervise staff, coordinate with contractors, and ensure operations run smoothly while meeting Joint Commission, CMS, EPA, OSHA, and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a technical school; four years' experience in plant/facilities operations, preferably in a hospital/educational/residential care setting.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission accreditation, federal and state laws, and state licensure/certification standards.
• Data collection and analysis; strong written and verbal communication.
• Travel required; hands-on maintenance experience in HVAC, plumbing, painting, etc.

Responsibilities

• Establish preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize disruption of operations.
• Oversee housekeeping and maintenance staff and contractors; monitor costs and safety compliance.
• Plan employee work schedules; select equipment, tools, and supplies; manage inventory.
• Coordinate maintenance with program leaders to align with schedules and service delivery.
• Maintain records and support safety training, emergency drills, and on-call coverage.
