Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Supervisor, Facilities to lead maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, and site services for housing, lodging, and Starship operations. You will manage vendors, plan strategic improvements, and drive cost-efficiency while ensuring safety and reliability on a remote frontier.

The role requires coordinating cross-functional teams, delivering proactive maintenance programs, and excelling in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment with travel to SpaceX locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency
• 3+ years of professional experience with facilities management
• 1+ years of experience leading a team or project
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, facilities management, or related field
• Proven budget management and vendor negotiation skills, with a track record of cost optimization
• Experience in multi-family housing, hospitality, or large-scale community/resort operations
• Expertise with asset management software and building systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, generators)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Willingness to travel to SpaceX locations for mission critical projects
• Ability to provide 24/7 on-call support for emergencies and critical operations

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team handling all facilities operations to deliver zero unplanned disruptions for 1,000+ residents and critical Starship operations
• Manage third-party vendors to enforce standards, optimize contracts, and drive cost savings while maintaining top-tier service
• Develop and execute strategic site improvement projects aligned with business goals
• Oversee maintenance, repairs, and installations across housing, lodging, venues, recreation, and private school
• Design and implement a proactive preventive maintenance program for launch and support facilities
• Monitor construction projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with zero impact to operations
• Coach and inspire a team of maintenance technicians and trades professionals
• Prioritize tasks dynamically in a fast-paced environment, eliminating blockers and driving efficiency
