Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Custodial Manager to oversee daily custodial operations across multiple school facilities in the district. You will lead custodial staff, develop cleaning programs, manage budgets, and ensure safety and cleanliness for students and staff.

The role requires 3–5 years in custodial or facilities work, plus 2+ years of supervisory experience. Strong leadership, communication, and budget skills are essential. Position is on site with travel between district facilities in Michigan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years custodial, facilities, or environmental services experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Knowledge of custodial equipment, cleaning practices, floor care, and sanitation procedures.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and work order management systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between district facilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee custodial operations across multiple school district facilities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor cleaning schedules, preventative maintenance programs, and quality assurance standards.
• Conduct routine facility inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and appearance.
• Respond to facility-related concerns and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate emergency response activities related to weather events, building incidents, and sanitation needs.
• Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate custodial personnel.
• Foster a positive, customer-focused work environment.
• Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development for staff.
• Manage labor allocation and staffing levels to support operational needs and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with district policies, collective bargaining agreements, and employment regulations.
