Job summary

The City of Raleigh’s Water Utilities is seeking a Maintenance and Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day maintenance and repair for Raleigh Water facilities and infrastructure. This role plans and prioritizes work, coordinates projects and resources, and provides technical guidance to staff while ensuring safety and reliability for customers.

You will work across multiple facilities with internal customers, contractors, and stakeholders, supervise employees, manage contracts, and maintain

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 3–5 years’ experience in construction or skilled maintenance and repair project management of building systems
• Valid NC Class C Driver's License or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and supervise staff effectively

Responsibilities

• Supervise, manage, and evaluate assigned employees; prioritize and assign work; develop schedules
• Plan and direct daily maintenance, repair, and upgrade activities for city infrastructure, grounds, and facilities
• Coordinate and prioritize projects; determine labor and material needs and provide technical guidance
• Liaise with internal customers, project stakeholders, contractors, and partners; respond to requests and concerns
• Monitor contracted vendors and work activities to ensure quality and contract compliance
• Prepare and maintain financial, compliance, operational, and project documentation and reports
• Work across multiple facilities and use a City-owned vehicle
