Job summary

Jefferson Health Plans is seeking a Facilities Operations leader to support Abington Memorial Hospital’s plant services. You will guide HVACR and plumbing system operations, lead staff, and manage projects within budget to ensure safety and reliability.

The role emphasizes compliance, supervision of a union workforce, and collaboration with campus-wide safety and training programs. Extensive facilities experience in healthcare is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years direct working experience within the trade or craft position required.
• 1 year Supervisory experience with a union labor force preferred
• 1 year Experience in a healthcare environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Provides expertise and management leadership for staff, technical plant operations and troubleshooting of hospital systems including HVACR and plumbing.
• Provides leadership/technical direction and resource allocation for plant operations to ensure regulatory compliance and deliver system reliability within a budget.
• Manages the development and execution of assigned projects through the Craft/Projects Shop staff and trade contractors.
• Leads real time data collection and analysis to guide plant operations for testing, maintenance, restoration, reconfiguration and energy control; executes disaster recovery and contingency plans.
• Develops, engages and supervises staff using continuous improvement techniques with evaluations, training and coaching.
• Participates in training and safety programs and makes them available to employees; manages rewards and performance improvement plans.
• Establishes preventive and routine maintenance schedules within regional budget guidelines.
• Supervises maintenance, installation and alterations in area of responsibility.
• Provides written estimates to facilities manager as required.
• Follows department and university rules and enforces them with staff.
