Job summary

Jefferson Health in Elkins Park, PA seeks a Facilities Manager to assist the Director and Plant Manager in implementing Programs for Facilities Services. The role focuses on ensuring systems operate within specifications, regulations, and cost controls.

You will lead staff, oversee maintenance for hospital HVACR and plumbing, manage projects, and ensure regulatory compliance while optimizing reliability and safety across the region.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 5 years direct working experience within the trade or craft position required.
• MS Office and MS PowerPoint skills preferred.
• Budgeting and financial skills required.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Provides expertise and management leadership for staff, technical plant operations and troubleshooting of hospital systems including HVACR and plumbing.
• Provides leadership/technical direction and resource allocation for plant operations to ensure regulatory compliance and budget adherence.
• Manages project development and execution through Craft/Projects Shop staff and trade contractors.
• Leads real-time data collection and analysis for system testing, maintenance/repairs, restoration, and disaster recovery.
• Develops and supervises staff through performance evaluations, training and coaching.
• Participates in training and safety programs and administers rewards and improvements.
• Establishes preventive and routine maintenance schedules within budget.
• Oversees installation, repair, and alterations in area of responsibility.
• Provides written estimates for maintenance work.
