Job summary

Fourth Power is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee safe, efficient operations at its Bedford, MA sites. This full-time exempt role focuses on custodial/maintenance planning, vendor contracts, and budget management, with a collaborative team of engineers and technicians.

The ideal candidate will lead continuous improvement initiatives, manage inventory and receiving, and coordinate events while maintaining high standards of safety and reliability across both sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in facilities management, plant maintenance, or industrial operations.
• Experience implementing preventive maintenance programs.
• Experience negotiating and administering facility service contracts.
• Experience defining and managing a facilities budget.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and SharePoint.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work independently.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers and technicians; building a great team culture.

Responsibilities

• Own safe, efficient, and effective facility operations at Fourth Power's two sites.
• Define and execute the facility custodial and maintenance plan with support from the engineering technician team. Negotiate and administer service contracts as required.
• Manage building general supply stock levels and procurement.
• Define and execute on team building events at our sites.
• Define and execute inbound and outbound receiving processes.
• Respond to facility failures.
• Define and manage the facilities budget.
• Lead and execute continuous improvement projects at both sites.
