Job summary

Dexterra Group in the United States is seeking a seasoned Facilities Manager to oversee daily building operations across HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems. You will coordinate preventive maintenance, supervise onsite staff and contractors, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while delivering reliable, high-quality facility services for our clients.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in facility management, strong CMMS experience and a proven ability to manage client relationships,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in facility management or related technical field.
• Knowledge of building systems, particularly HVAC, electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Experience coordinating maintenance activities, contractors and service providers.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain positive client relationships.
• Understanding of workplace safety and building maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily building operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and general facility maintenance.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, inspections and emergency response.
• Supervise onsite maintenance personnel and coordinate specialized service contractors.
• Manage janitorial, landscaping, snow removal, waste management, pest control and workplace services.
• Maintain asset records, work orders and maintenance schedules using a CMMS.
• Monitor facility conditions, identify maintenance needs and assist with capital planning.
• Serve as the primary onsite contact for clients, responding to service requests and maintaining relationships.
• Monitor service quality, operating budgets, contractor performance and safety compliance.
• Coordinate routine mailroom, courier and workplace support activities.
• Support the initial facility transition, including site familiarization and implementation of maintenance programs.
• Perform limited reception assistance activities
