Qualifications

• Knowledge equivalent to the first two or three years in college with related coursework.
• One to three years of related work experience, with some supervisory duties.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, schedules, prioritizes, and assigns the work of the support staff.
• Oversees event set-ups and/or special arrangements for conferences, bookings or programs.
• Assists in developing and coordinating major maintenance projects.
• Interviews, hires, trains, evaluates and disciplines regular and student employees.
• Serves as a liaison with clients, customers, vendors, and University departments by providing subject-matter expertise.
• Assists in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
• Oversee operations to maintain quality control and meet deadlines.
• Forecasting departmental needs and ordering needed supplies to maintain inventory levels.
• Prepares special and periodic financial or other reports and maintains unit records.
• Resolve employee complaints and grievances.
• Inspect facility operations to maintain health and safety standards. Ensure compliance with University, State and Federal rules and regulations.
