Job summary

JLL is hiring an Operating Engineer in Costa Mesa, CA to operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair critical facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment. You will diagnose issues using BAS and blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, and support energy efficiency and safety compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and a valid driver’s license required.
• High School diploma or GED plus two years of trade school education in electrical systems, refrigeration, HVAC, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial, industrial, or manufacturing facility maintenance environments.
• Experience maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
• Minimum 1 year of experience utilizing CMMS/PM software and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including all shifts and some weekends, based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical building systems.
• Diagnose equipment and system issues using BAS, blueprints, schematics, and readings.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVACR systems, chillers, electrical distribution, and related equipment.
• Maintain low and medium voltage electrical systems and lighting, following safety procedures.
