Job summary

Avista Senior Living in Sumner, WA is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the care of the community's physical plant, exterior and interior common areas, and individual resident units. This role is hands-on and requires coordinating with the team to complete work orders.

The ideal candidate brings commitment, life safety and emergency compliance awareness, and experience in building maintenance or multifamily housing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six months experience in building industry, maintenance, or housekeeping.
• Prior property management or multifamily housing experience preferred.
• Pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (including TB).

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of the physical plant, exterior, and interior common areas, and individual resident units.
• Hands-on position; completes work orders alongside team members.
• Assist with apartment turnovers - painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds and landscaping around the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests; follow safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
