Job summary

Portland Community College (PCC) is seeking a seasoned Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day building maintenance and custodial operations across multiple facilities in the PCC district. The role focuses on mechanical, electrical, energy management, and fire/life safety systems, with responsibility for policy implementation and staff supervision.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, six years of maintenance experience with at least three years in leadership, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Maintenance, or a related field.
• Six years progressively responsible maintenance experience, including three years supervising or leading the work of others.
• Possession of a valid driver's license is required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of building maintenance and custodial activities for facilities in assigned zone.
• Oversee daily management of building systems, mechanical, electrical, energy management and fire/life safety.
• Develop, implement, and administer policies, procedures and processes in support of departmental operations.
• Respond to inquiries and requests for service from internal College departments and supervises technical trade staff.
• Coordinate all work orders involving Preventative Maintenance Program and address facilities needs of college internal and external customers.
