Job summary

Georgia State University is seeking a Coordinator, Recreation Center Operations to lead the downtown Atlanta campus facilities and recreational services. This role focuses on managing a large recreation complex, coordinating with facilities and vendors, and ensuring a safe, well-maintained environment for students and staff.

The position requires a relevant Bachelor's degree with several years of facilities/operations experience and may include supervising staff, scheduling, and risk management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree requirement plus three years of related experience or a combination of education and related experience.
• Master’s degree preferred with 3–5 years of recreation management experience, especially facilities, operations, and admin.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of the Student Recreation Center facilities and pools, ensuring safety and code compliance.
• Collaborate with Aquatics Coordinator on lifeguard training and chemical testing.
• Manage equipment upkeep, inventory swimming pool chemicals, and maintain chemical logs.
• Coordinate with University Facilities, trades staff, contractors, and vendors for maintenance and repairs.
• Develop facility plans, maintenance reports, and support events and reservations.
