Job summary

Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo is seeking a Coordinator I—Facility Operations to lead the daily operations of the Recreation Center, Doerr Family Field, Anderson Aquatic Center, and Cal Poly Sports Complex.

You will supervise student staff, coordinate events, manage safety, and ensure open facilities run smoothly. The role includes incident review, cross‑department collaboration, and ongoing training to foster a safe, welcoming environment for campus users.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year college or university (8 years applicable experience may be substituted).
• Must hold a valid, current U.S. driver’s license.
• Current American Red Cross certification (or equivalent) in Adult First Aid, CPR, and AED within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise the Student Manager—Facility Supervision and Facility Supervisors.
• Support daily operations and scheduling at the Recreation Center, Doerr Family Field, Anderson Aquatic Center, and the Cal Poly Sports Complex.
• Respond to operational issues, customer service needs, and incidents during open hours.
• Develop, coordinate, plan, and implement facility signage and communications regarding closures and access.
• Purchase facility supplies and participate in departmental budget/purchasing processes.
• Train and support student staff in oversight of daily operations and safety practices.
