Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a Facilities Operations Assistant in Mt. Pleasant, SC to maintain the community’s buildings, grounds, and equipment. You will respond to service requests, perform routine maintenance, and support special projects to keep residents safe and comfortable.

The role requires at least one year of maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to work on-call and handle basic repairs. Competitive wages and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of maintenance or facilities experience.
• Working knowledge of building systems including plumbing, electrical, mechanical.
• OSHA life safety knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and light housekeeping in community.
• Process service requests for repairs promptly and cost-effectively.
• Handle basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry tasks.
• Assist with HVAC, heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems.
• Maintain floors, carpets, and make-ready apartments for new residents.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and on-call requests.
• Ensure safety standards and life safety regulations are followed.
• Keep tools and maintenance areas organized and clean.
• Communicate status and priorities with leadership.
