Job summary

Norwest Christian College is seeking a full-time Maintenance General Assistant to ensure the campus is safe, well presented, and facilities are up to date. The role involves maintenance across buildings and grounds, plus driving the school bus for various activities and events.

You will perform inspections, manage tools and logs, and assist with AV setups for learning spaces. A faith-based, collaborative team environment is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel.

• Bus drivers licence preferred or willing to be trained.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, repairs, and minor improvements across buildings, grounds, and facilities.
• Drive the school bus for student transport, excursions, and events.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs.
• Manage equipment, tools, storage areas, and maintenance logs.
• Support operations by setting up classrooms, events, furniture, and equipment.
• Coordinate with external contractors and staff to complete works.
