Discovery Senior Living’s Aston Gardens at Pelican Marsh in Naples, FL seeks a Facilities Operations Assistant to maintain a safe, well-functioning community. You’ll handle daily upkeep, respond to service requests, and support project work across buildings, grounds, and equipment.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of maintenance experience, strong knowledge of building systems, and the ability to work on-call. This full-time role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of maintenance or facilities experience.
• Working knowledge of building systems including plumbing, electrical and mechanical repairs.
• OSHA standards, fire prevention and life safety regulations understanding.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls outside normal hours.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem-solving ability and sound judgment.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• On-call rotation participation as required.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors/outdoors in varying temps.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and light housekeeping throughout grounds and buildings.
• Process service requests for repairs to apartments, common areas, equipment, and vehicles.
• Carry out general maintenance tasks: plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting, carpentry.
• Assist with HVAC, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems as assigned.
• Maintain flooring and prepare 'make-ready' apartments for new residents.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and on-call requests as needed.
• Ensure safety standards, OSHA guidelines and life safety regulations are met.
• Monitor grounds and buildings for hazards and report concerns promptly.
• Keep tools and maintenance areas clean and organized; communicate status to leadership.
• Support special projects and seasonal tasks; perform other duties as assigned.
