Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, seeks an Assistant Director to support the Director of Plant Operations and Maintenance in managing facilities, equipment, and utilities. The role requires engineering knowledge, management skills, and adherence to codes and regulations.

The incumbent will oversee maintenance planning, staff supervision, and coordination with vendors, ensuring safety and compliance across multiple hospital sites.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, comprehend and transmit complex instructions.
• Interpersonal and supervisory skills essential.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Fire safety certifications within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and control maintenance activities under the Director’s guidance.
• Coordinate and supervise staff to maintain facilities and equipment.
• Assist with regulatory compliance and record-keeping for inspections.
• Oversee preventative maintenance and projects with vendors/contractors.
• Coordinate fire response and snow removal operations as needed.
• Provide training and onboarding to new staff.
