Job summary

Baltimore County Public Schools is seeking an assistant to the Building Operations Supervisor to oversee custodial services and lead building service workers. The role involves operating boilers and HVAC systems, performing maintenance, and coordinating with staff for events and daily operations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least two years in building services, and relevant boiler/HVAC knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years building services experience preferred.
• Stationary engineer's license preferred by Maryland Board.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee building service workers and train staff.
• Perform and supervise custodial tasks and maintain cleanliness.
• Operate and inspect boilers and HVAC equipment; maintain records.
• Prepare work orders and coordinate maintenance with staff.
• Assist in moving furniture and setting up events.
• Maintain supply inventory and order cleaning materials.
• Participate in snow removal and other essential duties.
