  • Tackling basic plumbing, tiling, and concreting repairs
  • Responding to facilities requests through our internal helpdesk system
  • Conducting inspections and proactive maintenance to prevent issues before they arise
  • Maintaining lawns, garden beds, and landscaped areas across our campuses
  • Using ride-on mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other machinery to keep everything looking its best
  • Seasonal planting, pruning, mulching, fertilising, and weed/pest management
  • Assisting with irrigation and supporting the natural environment of our school
  • Helping set up and pack down for school events, sports days, and community activities
  • Supporting safe access and movement around the school during works or events
  • Working as part of a Facilities team committed to reliability, flexibility, and teamwork

The sucessful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Relevant qualifications in building maintenance, horticulture, or a trade (e.g. Cert II or III)
  • Experience in both general maintenance and gardening/groundskeeping
  • A current AQF II Chemical Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain – desirable)
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently when needed
  • Reliable, punctual, and proactive with great time management
  • Confident using tools, machinery, and digital maintenance systems
  • Clear communication skills for working with staff, students, and contractors
  • Knowledge of OH&S practices and a strong safety mindset
  • A high attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
