Job summary

TSMC in Phoenix, AZ is seeking experienced Facility Mechanical Technicians to join our Facilities team. The Mechanical Technician will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, and cleanroom air handling in a wafer fabrication environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, several years of experience with process piping, and the ability to work overtime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Technical College or Trade Program is preferred.
• Five years’ experience with process piping systems in an industrial setting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains HVAC systems including chillers and boilers.
• Performs daily rounds and readings to monitor conditions.
• Troubleshoots and repairs rotating equipment such as pumps and fans.
• Follows SOPs, safety policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Reads gauges, interprets controls, and adjusts temperatures, pressures, and flow.
• Escalates discrepancies to supervision and takes corrective actions when needed.
• May participate in Emergency Response Team duties as required.
