Job summary

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America is seeking a Senior Facilities Project Engineer in Marysville, OH. You will manage critical utility infrastructure, design mechanical/electrical systems, and direct capital projects ranging from $0.5M to $30M.

Responsibilities include leading design, construction, and commissioning of high-reliability plant utilities, budgeting, bidding, and contractor oversight to ensure OSHA/NEC/NFPA compliance, energy efficiency, and rapid recovery from plant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or 6+ years equivalent experience.
• 6-10 years of industrial facilities engineering or capital project management experience.
• Knowledge of building codes, Revit/AutoCAD, and asset systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, construction, and commissioning of plant utility and mechanical infrastructure.
• Manage capital budgets, bidding, and procurement schedules.
• Supervise on-site contractors and ensure OSHA, NEC, and NFPA compliance.
• Implement energy efficiency and decarbonization strategies for chillers, power distribution, and boilers.
• Provide engineering support to resolve plant equipment emergencies and minimize downtime.

About the Role:

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America is seeking a Senior Facilities Project Engineer in Marysville, OH. You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) managing critical utility infrastructure, designing mechanical/electrical systems, and directing capital projects ($0.5M-$30M).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design, construction, and commissioning of high-reliability plant utility and mechanical infrastructure.
• Manage capital investment budgets, contractor bidding, and engineering procurement schedules.
• Supervise on-site engineering contractors, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NEC, and NFPA building codes.
• Implement energy efficiency and decarbonization strategies for chillers, power distribution, and boilers.
• Provide expert engineering support to resolve plant equipment emergencies and minimize recovery time.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil) or 6+ years equivalent experience.
• 6-10 years of industrial facilities engineering, capital project management, or utility systems experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of industrial building codes, Revit/AutoCAD, and computerized asset systems.
• Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar engineering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership, contract management, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
