Position: Texas Institute for Electronics at the University of Texas at Austin. This role supports the startup and operation of a semiconductor manufacturing facility.

- Install, calibrate, and maintain sensors, transducers, transmitters, and control systems across facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and control systems including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA interfaces; perform routine and preventive maintenance.
- Support integration of new instrumentation and controls into existing facility systems (air handlers, water, waste, chemicals, gases, etc.) and assist in designing control strategies.
- Configure and tune PID control loops for temperature, pressure, flow, and other process variables.
- Monitor system performance and analyze data to identify inefficiencies or potential failures.

- Associate’s degree or technical certification in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in instrumentation and controls, preferably in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing.
- Proficiency in instrumentation troubleshooting, industrial networking, and control system integration.
- Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and semiconductor fabrication processes.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals.
- Experience with data acquisition systems and industrial automation platforms.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Certified Electrician.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- PLC Programming experience.
