Job summary

Flex is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer located in Austin, TX to manage mechanical systems and facility infrastructure projects that support factory operations at the Austin campus. You will apply engineering analysis to utilities, HVAC and distribution networks, and develop CAD schematics to document capacity and plan improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years in facilities or building systems design.
• Experience with CAD design software.
• Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support facility maintenance operations and manufacturing transformation through engineering analysis.
• Develop CAD schematics and document piping/utility capacity.
• Evaluate new installations against capacity and infrastructure.
• Create budgets and timelines for utility upgrades with stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to standards for distribution system architecture.
• Support maintenance with failure analysis and procedure improvements.
