Job summary

Flex is seeking a skilled Maintenance/Automation Technician in Austin to maintain and repair automated systems, troubleshoot PLCs, read schematics, and support engineers in hardware and software tasks. The role requires hands-on experience with material handling, robotics, electronics assembly, and electrical tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience with automation and/or robotics equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
• Hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, or modifying automation components.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems to restore serviceability.
• Collaborate with the automation team during qualification of automated systems.
• Assist engineers with hardware and software solutions per specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations on equipment at scheduled intervals.
• Disassemble instruments and inspect components for defects.
• Read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.
