Job summary

Carolina Foods, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician responsible for building system monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair in a manufacturing facility.

The role covers gas-fired boilers, air compressors, condensate systems, chillers, water heaters, HVAC and related plant equipment. The technician will conduct routine inspections, operate and maintain tools, raise work requests for internal and contract maintenance, perform daily preventive maintenance, document emergency work, and mentor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2+ years in a manufacturing facility performing mechanical/electrical inspections, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Experience in preventive maintenance and ability to work with plant equipment and utility systems.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains plant equipment and systems, including gas-fired boilers, air compressors, condensate systems, chillers, heating and ventilation.
• Conducts routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Performs daily preventive maintenance and documents results; responds to emergencies as needed.
• Assists contract maintenance providers and mentors junior technicians to improve plant-system skills.
• Generates work requests for internal and contract maintenance as required.
