Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance on mission-critical equipment and oversee essential systems. You will handle preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and respond to alarms to minimize impact on patient care.

The role requires at least 2+ years of maintenance experience, with preferred healthcare setting exposure and ability to read blueprints. Strong customer service, organizational, and independent-work skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (HSE).
• 2+ years of maintenance experience.
• Experience in healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience with monitoring and communication software (Microsoft Office, BAS, CMMS).
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and on-demand work orders within established time frames.
• Troubleshoot and correct issues on mission-critical equipment.
• Provide oversight to essential systems and operate CMMS/BAS tools.
• Respond to alarms and ensure patient safety and equipment reliability.
• Coordinate with external vendors and cross-cover as needed.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
