Windsor Windows, a division of Woodgrain, is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead maintenance, equipment reliability, and capital projects in our West Des Moines, Iowa facility. The role supports safe, efficient plant operations and continuous improvement on the production floor.

The ideal candidate has a engineering background, 3–5 years in manufacturing maintenance and leadership, and a track record of driving TPM and process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing maintenance, facilities, or engineering.
• 3-5 years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians and oversee daily maintenance activities.
• Manage facility, equipment, and building maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Drive preventive maintenance and TPM programs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and reduce downtime.

We are seeking a Facilities Manager to lead facility maintenance, equipment reliability, capital improvement projects, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting safe and efficient plant operations.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing facility maintenance, equipment repairs, preventive maintenance programs, capital projects, grounds maintenance, and maintenance personnel. This role plays a critical part in supporting production operations, driving efficiency improvements, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians and oversee daily maintenance activities.
• Manage facility, equipment, and building maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Drive preventive maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions that reduce downtime and improve productivity.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, utility costs, and capital expenditures.
• Coordinate facility improvement projects, equipment upgrades, layout changes, and contractor work.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with engineering and production teams to identify and implement process improvements.
• Maintain facility security systems and oversee grounds maintenance, including janitorial services, lawn care, and snow removal.

Work Environment

Typical hours are Monday through Friday, with additional hours and Saturdays as needed to support production demands. This is NOT a remote position.
