Job summary

Wilbur Hot Springs is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead a small team in maintaining and improving our remote property. You will oversee repairs, projects, and day-to-day operations across buildings, pools, water systems, solar power, and grounds.

This full-time onsite role includes housing and full benefits. The ideal candidate has experience managing trades, strong organization, and the ability to respond to guest or staff needs after hours. Weekend and holiday availability required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in facilities management or related field.
• Ability to lead a small team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Advanced knowledge in one or more trades (water, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc).
• Proficient with standard computer tools (office suites, monitoring systems).
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a small facilities team and coordinate repairs and projects at the property.
• Maintain and operate buildings, pools, water systems, solar power, landscape, roads, and infrastructure.
• Respond to guest or staff needs after hours when required.
• Manage budgets, scheduling, and vendor relationships.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and quality across all facilities.

Facilities Manager (Wilbur Hot Springs - In between Williams and Clearlake)

Join our amazing team at Wilbur Hot Springs as our new Facilities Manager!! You'll oversee a small, dedicated team as we tackle repairs and projects at every level!! The facilities team is responsible for general repairs and maintenance of company vehicles, structures, pools, water systems, solar power, landscape, roads, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, has a service-oriented approach and strong organization and people management skills. This is a full-time resident role which comes with onsite housing and full benefits. This position is expected to answer occasional evening calls when guests or staff are in need of immediate assistance. If you enjoy living and working in a remote, natural setting, being part of a team, and have strong general maintenance skills with expertise in one or more trades, this could be a great opportunity to join us at Wilbur!

• 2 years people and project management experience
• Excellent organization skills, ability to prioritize and complete various concurrent initiatives
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced skills in one or more trades (water, electric, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, etc)
• General computer skills (office, google docs, system monitoring)
• Broad knowledge of facilities (buildings, HVAC, electric, plumbing, vehicles, carpentry, etc)
• Water system operator certification preferred
• Resourceful, resilient, adaptable, dependable with calm demeanor
• Available to work weekends and holidays

Wilbur Hot Springs, located off Hwy 20 midway between Williams and Clearlake, is a traditional hot springs resort featuring an ancient geothermal spring, geyser, soaking and swimming pools and a 1500 acre nature preserve.
