Job summary

Windsor Windows & Doors, a division of Woodgrain, is seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to lead maintenance, equipment reliability, capital projects, and continuous improvement on-site in West Des Moines, IA. This role supports safe, efficient plant operations and reports to the Plant Manager.

The ideal candidate has an engineering background, 3–5 years in manufacturing maintenance or facilities, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
• 3-5 years hands-on experience in manufacturing maintenance, facilities, or engineering.
• 3-5 years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians and oversee daily maintenance activities.
• Manage facility, equipment, and building maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Drive preventive maintenance and TPM programs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions to reduce downtime.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, utility costs, and capex.
• Coordinate facility improvement projects, equipment upgrades, layout changes, and contractor work.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with engineering and production teams to identify and implement process improvements.
• Maintain facility security systems and overseen grounds maintenance, including janitorial services, lawn care, and snow removal.
