Job summary

University of Colorado Boulder’s Facilities Management seeks a Facilities Manager, Structural Trades to lead 22 full-time trades staff in carpentry, roofing, painting, and building envelope systems, ensuring safe, reliable campus facilities.

You will drive strategic maintenance initiatives, oversee a $3.1 million operating budget, mentor supervisors, collaborate with Engineering, PD&C, EHS, and campus partners, and promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement across structural programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of structural trades experience, including supervisory experience.
• Strong budget and financial management skills.
• Valid Colorado Driver's License.
• Experience with computer-based or integrated work management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and administration for Structural Trades operations and personnel.
• Oversee and manage supervisors and frontline staff responsible for painting, roofing, carpentry, and building envelope systems.
• Develop and implement operational goals, performance standards, and customer service expectations.
• Ensure compliance with university policies, safety regulations, and labor agreements.
• Collaborate with campus partners to support renewal, capital projects, and maintenance initiatives.
