Job summary

National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) partners with the National Park Service to place experienced professionals in the ESP. The Facilities Manager coordinates building maintenance, aligns needs with GSA, Florida State University (the lessor), and contractors, and supports both office staff and museum storage spaces.

The position emphasizes organization, clear communication, and knowledge of facility operations; it is a temporary enrollment arrangement under a grant.

Qualifications

• HS/GED with minimum 15 years in Building Maintenance Administration/Facility Management.
• Experience with larger institutional maintenance services is a plus.
• Experience with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining awareness of current building status and identifying maintenance needs.
• Reporting maintenance needs to landlord clearly through established means, tracking, and following up on work tickets to ensure repairs/maintenance is performed.
• Troubleshooting with stakeholders to identify issues and solutions.
• Maintain safety of facility by working with maintenance to ensure climate and security protection measures are followed during visits.
• Updating GSA and NPS Management on building issues as the intermediary; sharing updates/notices to staff via email.
• Backup for after-hours security alarm call-outs (two-hour minimum compensation in event of a call-out).
• Schedule and coordinate annual cleaning and routine or scheduled maintenance of the building and systems.
• Assist with transportation of government owned vehicles for maintenance, as needed.
