Job summary

Northstar Restaurant Group is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance, repairs and capital improvements across Brassica locations. You will lead multi-site facilities, coordinate with operations leaders and vendors, and ensure safety, reliability and high building standards.

The role requires strong organizational skills, technical knowledge of building systems, and the ability to travel as needed to support restaurants and offices.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management, restaurant operations, or commercial maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of building systems incl. HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration.
• Proven success managing contractors, vendors, landlords, and service agreements.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and operate on-site at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair activities across all restaurants.
• Serve as the primary contact for facility operations escalations.
• Evaluate internal vs vendor-based repairs for efficiency and quality.
• Build and manage relationships with vendors and ensure high-quality work.
• Negotiate service agreements and monitor vendor performance.
• Develop long-term replacement plans for equipment and assets.
• Oversee preventative maintenance for kitchen, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Coordinate facility improvements and capital projects with ops, construction and finance.
• Maintain records for inspections, permits, warranties, and asset inventories.
• Lead hands-on training for operations teams on building systems.
