Job summary

First Quality is seeking aFacilities Manager for the Lewistown, PA site to oversee building and grounds maintenance and utility systems. You will manage contract services, HVAC, cooling towers, plant air, fire protection, and site security, while directing maintenance staff and contractors to keep operations safe and efficient.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in progressive roles within manufacturing, strong documentation and training abilities, and proven experience in preventive maintenance

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years in a manufacturing setting.
• Minimum of three (3) years in Facility Maintenance experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years in a role with progressive responsibility.
• Experience with a Preventative Maintenance Program.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with work order software and spare parts inventory control.
• Knowledge of utilities and facilities maintenance.
• Experience with equipment installation, maintenance and construction methods.
• Ability to identify improvements and implement solutions.
• Ability to train maintenance staff and write procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe work practices are followed and violations corrected immediately.
• Manage all maintenance activities (mechanical and electrical) for assigned utilities to minimize downtime and costs.
• Assign work and supervise hourly employees or contractors.
• Document and implement preventative maintenance programs and track improvements.
• Comply with local, state, and federal documentation and control requirements.
• Operate and maintain building HVAC, cooling towers, plant compressed air, fire protection systems and site security.
• Develop and document process characteristics for each utility process.
• Plan ongoing technical training for maintenance and operations personnel.
• Identify and scope facilities and utilities projects; lead system design and installation.
• Research and recommend quality and productivity improvements.
• Improve efficiencies of assigned utility systems.
• Act as liaison with vendors for technical issues.
