Job summary

Felix Construction is seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance, safety, organization, and operational readiness of our buildings, shops, yard, and offices in Phoenix. You will lead mechanics, fabrication teams, field crews, and office staff to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment daily.

The role requires 5+ years in facilities or building operations, CMMS familiarity, and the ability to read drawings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in facilities, maintenance, or building operations.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Familiarity with CMMS or work order systems.
• Ability to read drawings and use tape measures/levels.
• Experience with painting, patching, hardware installation, and hand tools.
• OSHA-30 Certification.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Basic Microsoft Outlook and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily upkeep of all facilities: mechanics shop, warehouse, panel shop, fabrication areas, yard, and offices.
• Maintain and troubleshoot building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs.
• Respond to maintenance requests and facility emergencies.
• Perform light hands-on maintenance (painting, patching, hardware installation).
• Coordinate facility vendors and contractors (janitorial, landscaping, fire protection, security, trades).
• Manage service contracts, bids, invoices, and work orders.
• Maintain clean, organized spaces using 5S; support layout improvements and safety initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety regs, OSHA, lockout/tagout, SDS, PPE.
