Facilities Manager (Full Time)
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, the Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall operation of CCA properties that are owned and/or leased. Provides project oversight and leadership for maintaining a safe environment at all locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Able and available to respond to emergency calls and coordinate response.
- Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures.
- Maintain equipment and building provisions to meet health and safety requirements.
- Organize and plan building installations and refurbishments.
- Supervise and meet daily with Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate work tickets.
- Communicate with external contractors and vendors.
- Keep building and all facilities up to code.
- Follow maintenance protocols.
- Delegate cleaning and maintenance responsibilities to team members.
- Schedule routine maintenance inspections.
- Monitor interior and exterior areas of buildings for cleanliness, conservation, and security.
- Prepare and implement project budgets and timeframes.
- Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Support maintenance and installation work as needed.
- Must have knowledge of fire apparatus inspections.
- Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Advanced mechanical and plumbing knowledge.
- Knowledge of HVAC and other building systems.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles.
- Great leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of fire codes.
- Ability to work in all conditions, including standing, walking, heights, etc., for long periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least five (5) years of supervisory experience in facilities management.
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent (preferred, not required).
- Experience planning and maintaining facility budgets.
- Ability to read blueprints (preferred, not required).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional leadership experience.
- Contract management experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Bilingual skills (preferred, not required).
