Job description

Facilities Manager (Full Time)

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, the Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall operation of CCA properties that are owned and/or leased. Provides project oversight and leadership for maintaining a safe environment at all locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  1. Able and available to respond to emergency calls and coordinate response.
  2. Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures.
  3. Maintain equipment and building provisions to meet health and safety requirements.
  4. Organize and plan building installations and refurbishments.
  5. Supervise and meet daily with Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate work tickets.
  6. Communicate with external contractors and vendors.
  7. Keep building and all facilities up to code.
  8. Follow maintenance protocols.
  9. Delegate cleaning and maintenance responsibilities to team members.
  10. Schedule routine maintenance inspections.
  11. Monitor interior and exterior areas of buildings for cleanliness, conservation, and security.
  12. Prepare and implement project budgets and timeframes.
  13. Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
  14. Support maintenance and installation work as needed.
  15. Must have knowledge of fire apparatus inspections.
  16. Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

  1. Advanced mechanical and plumbing knowledge.
  2. Knowledge of HVAC and other building systems.
  3. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  4. Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  5. Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles.
  6. Great leadership and problem-solving skills.
  7. Knowledge of fire codes.
  8. Ability to work in all conditions, including standing, walking, heights, etc., for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. At least five (5) years of supervisory experience in facilities management.
  2. Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent (preferred, not required).
  3. Experience planning and maintaining facility budgets.
  4. Ability to read blueprints (preferred, not required).
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Professional leadership experience.
  7. Contract management experience.
  8. Strong attention to detail.
  9. Bilingual skills (preferred, not required).
