Job summary

Cranbrook Educational Community is seeking a Facilities Manager to ensure reliable campus-wide maintenance, electrical, locksmith, carpentry and painting operations. You will oversee 24/7 facilities coverage, lead the safety program, manage vendor relationships, and drive continuous improvement across the campus.

The role requires strong people management, extensive knowledge of NFPA codes and fire alarm systems, and the ability to coordinate with multiple trade teams to minimize disruption and

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED and 7+ years in fire monitoring systems and building maintenance.
• Contractor's license desired (plumbing, electrical, building).
• NICET Level II license desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities staff including scheduling, attendance, and daily activities.
• Coordinate budget estimates and manage expenditures within approved budgets.
• Lead training on safety, lead paint, confined space, and universal refrigeration.
