Job summary

Cranbrook Educational Community in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan seeks a Facilities Manager to lead campus-wide maintenance, electrical, locksmith, carpentry and painting operations. You will oversee a 24/7 facility program, coordinate with HVAC and fire systems, and drive safety and efficiency across the Cranbrook campus.

The role requires strong leadership, deep building systems knowledge, and a track record in supervising skilled trades.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 7+ years of progressive experience in fire monitoring and maintenance.
• Minimum 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• NICET Level II license desired; contractor's license desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities staff including scheduling, attendance, and daily work activities.
• Manage budget estimates and expenditures within approved budgets.
• Coordinate training and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as main contact for Siemens Fire system updates and repairs.
• Supervise outside contractors and report progress and costs.
