Job Summary

The Facilities Manager will support the Business Services Manager / Unit Director in delivering excellent customer service to our corporate client.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage in-house or 3rd party soft service providers, including janitorial, landscaping, snow removal, waste management, pest control, and mail/shipping.
2. Oversee the team providing mail/shipping and audio-visual support.
3. Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

Additional Responsibilities

1. Manage the soft service budget and provide financial reporting.
2. Assist in vendor contract development and procurement via Compass and client systems.
3. Handle requisitions, POs, and invoice receipt upon work completion.
4. Collaborate to resolve issues professionally, focusing on customer service.
5. Coordinate with the site Facility Manager and assist in planning team goals and objectives.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid understanding of facilities management, including janitorial, mail, S&R, landscaping, pest control, waste management, and vendor management.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in soft services industry.
• Strong management and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and courteously.
• Customer service-oriented and skilled in client relations.
• Leadership abilities in staffing, recruiting, and staff development.
• Planning, organizational, and system management skills.
• Proficiency in IT tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Teams.
