Job summary

Wendy's is seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and facilities operations for restaurant locations in the Virginia Beach market. This role suits a technician or facilities leader who enjoys field work, solves problems, and partners closely with Operations to ensure safe, efficient restaurant operations.

You will manage preventive maintenance programs, perform hands-on diagnostics for HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment, and decide when repairs should be completed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities, maintenance, or technical experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform hands-on repairs.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities maintenance for restaurants within the Virginia Beach market.
• Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment.
• Diagnose basic electrical and plumbing systems issues.
• Determine when repairs should be done in-house vs. via approved vendors.
• Manage and track work orders using Corrigo (or similar system).
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and safety requirements.
• Partner with General Managers and Area Leaders to support restaurant performance.
• Assist with minor remodels, reimages, and equipment replacements as needed.
• Maintain vendor relationships and control maintenance expenses within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities maintenance for restaurants within the Virginia Beach market.
• Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for:
• HVAC systems
• Commercial refrigeration
• Kitchen equipment
• Basic electrical and plumbing systems
• Determine when repairs should be completed internally versus through approved vendors.
• Manage and track work orders using Corrigo (or similar system).
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and safety requirements.
• Partner with General Managers and Area Leaders to support restaurant performance.
• Assist with minor remodels, reimages, and equipment replacements as needed.
• Maintain vendor relationships and control maintenance expenses within budget.
