Job summary

Wendy's is seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and facilities operations for restaurant locations in the Virginia Beach market. The role requires a capable technician or facilities leader who thrives in the field and collaborates with Operations to keep restaurants safe and running smoothly.

You will manage preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and coordinate with GMs and Area Leaders to drive restaurant performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities/maintenance or technical experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally within the service area.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities maintenance for restaurants within the Virginia Beach market.
• Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment.
• Determine repairs to be done in-house vs. via approved vendors.
• Manage and track work orders using Corrigo or similar system.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and safety requirements.
• Partner with General Managers and Area Leaders to support restaurant performance.
• Assist with minor remodels, reimages, and equipment replacements as needed.
• Maintain vendor relationships and control maintenance expenses within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities maintenance for restaurants within the Virginia Beach market.
• Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for:
• HVAC systems
• Commercial refrigeration
• Kitchen equipment
• Basic electrical and plumbing systems
• Determine when repairs should be completed internally versus through approved vendors.
• Manage and track work orders using Corrigo (or similar system).
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and safety requirements.
• Partner with General Managers and Area Leaders to support restaurant performance.
• Assist with minor remodels, reimages, and equipment replacements as needed.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
