Job summary

Wendy's is seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and facilities operations for its restaurant locations in the Virginia Beach market. This role requires a technically strong leader who enjoys fieldwork, solving problems, and partnering with Operations to ensure safe, efficient restaurant operation.

You will manage preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment, coordinate with General Managers and Area Leaders, and oversee vendor

Qualifications

• 5+ years in facilities, maintenance, or technical roles, preferably in multi-unit environments.
• Strong HVAC and refrigeration knowledge; able to troubleshoot on site.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally in the Virginia Beach area.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities maintenance for Wendy's restaurants within the Virginia Beach market.
• Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment.
• Determine repairs vs. vendor-sourced work and manage vendor relationships.
• Manage and track work orders using Corrigo or similar system.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and safety requirements.
• Support restaurant performance with General Managers and Area Leaders.
• Assist with minor remodels, reimages, and equipment replacements.
• Maintain maintenance expenses within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities maintenance for restaurants within the Virginia Beach market.
• Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for:
• HVAC systems
• Commercial refrigeration
• Kitchen equipment
• Basic electrical and plumbing systems
• Determine when repairs should be completed internally versus through approved vendors.
• Manage and track work orders using Corrigo (or similar system).
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and safety requirements.
• Partner with General Managers and Area Leaders to support restaurant performance.
• Assist with minor remodels, reimages, and equipment replacements as needed.
• Maintain vendor relationships and control maintenance expenses within budget.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
